Senior Officials of the Sierra Leone High Commission in Nairobi, Kenya conduct an Inspection tour of Facility to be used as Consulate of Sierra Leone in Kampala, Uganda

Following a “No Objection” Note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda to the appointment of Mr. Alykhan Hudani as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Sierra Leone to Uganda, a two-man delegation comprising the Minister Plenipotentiary — Mr. Abdul Kargbo and the Head of Chancery — Mr. Henry Nyandemoh of the Sierra Leone High Commission in Kenya with accreditation to the Republic of Uganda paid a three-day visit to Kampala, Uganda to hold discussion with the appointed Honorary Consul as well as to conduct an inspection on the facility in Kampala to be used as a consulate.

The two officials met with the Honorary Consul, Mr. Alykhan Hudani on Friday, 1st August, 2025 in his office located at Plot-30A — Nonyi Gardens, Kololo, Kampala.

The two officials were led on a conducted tour in a gated compound containing two separate buildings owned by Mr. Hudani and each building containing three self-contained rooms, a big garage and a garden.

One of the buildings in the compound was identified to house the consulate and the Honorary Consul was advised to have the undermentioned items displayed at the consulate:

  • Flag of Sierra Leone
  • Approved portraits of HE, the President in the Office of the Consul
  • Sign post of the Consulate at the entrance
  • Flag of Uganda to be displayed alongside the Sierra Leone Flag

The two officials and the Honorary Consul also met with the State Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda and discussed issues bordering on the presentation of Credentials to the President of Uganda by the High Commissioner and other areas of cooperation.

The two officials will hold further discussions with some government and business people in Kampala on Saturday, 2nd August, 2025.
